We need your help!
We depend on the volunteer service of our trained tutors to help learners improve English language skills as well as those learning or improving basic reading, writing, and math skills.
To become a Literacy Delaware tutor, you must:

Be at least 18 years old

Successfully complete tutor training

Complete paperwork, submit references, and complete a background check
-
Commit to at least 4 hours of instruction per week, at least 90 hours of instruction per year

Trained tutors are matched with waiting learners for one-to-one or small group instruction

Literacy Delaware provides tutors with all teaching materials and books needed at no cost

Additional support is always available when needed or requested
